My job sucks more than yours

tara's cat used to catch hummingbirds.  never quite figured out how she did that but she was damn good at it.  hummingbirds are another matter entirely, like flying hypodermic needles and so freakin quick.  a tiny sparrow ain't no thing.

i think it's the culture clash at tc that makes it weird.  a third chinese, a third korean, a third mexican.  great spicy eats but a wildly pungent lunch room.  and the clients, not too far from fencers perhaps.  lots of nutjobs, some genuine renaissance peeps, and some cold-blooded killers.  why they all acted like the sparrow was rodan razing tokyo, i'll never know.  i was shocked to see such wimpiness.  actually, maybe it was a finch.  i don't really know birds.  but it was small and scared and in no way a threat.  it just wanted to get out too.  you know me - any excuse to whip out any of the weapons at my desk side is good.  and it was a bonus to use my bodhidharma cane - i designed that, you know.  i never realized what a good small bird chaser it is.  i should really re-learn that form.
