NBC is probably my most watched DVD. It's so easy to throw this on and get lost in Tim Burton's psyche.
How could we resist seeing this again on the big screen, in 3D no less?
The glasses were the Polaroid type, not the headache-inducing red and blue lenses of blurriness. The 3 was crisp and sharp, especially during the new 'Disney 3D' logo sequence and preview of next-years 3D movie (forgot the name). There were no 'paddle-ball in the face' moments since the movie wasn't shot in 3D, but the beautiful figures and sets really came alive with the addition of faux-depth.
The music gets better and better with each viewing, although Danny Elfman's song-speaking style makes me wish for a few more melodic verses.
the Oogie-Boogie sequences were mind-blowing in blacklight 3D goodness.
Well worth the jacked-up $14 ticket price. If only it was on the iMax screen...
