Monday bright and early I go in for a root canal redo. It's not clear what caused it to fail. I might clench my teeth in my sleep, and maybe jarred it loose that way. It's not like I'm under a lot of stress, and my blood pressure tends towards the low end; but still, I do occasionally have stressful dreams.
Anyway, the root canal has to be redone.
Then on Tuesday I get my eyes checked. My reading glasses are giving me eyestrain, so that likely means new glasses.
Fortunately, I'm on Medicare.
Unfortunately, Medicare doesn't cover dental, vision, or hearing. Because, you know, older people never have those kinds of problems.
On Friday I see my doc. I want to pursue hip replacement, because they've reached the point where they could be featured in the Journal of Irreproducible Results. I can't really walk a straight line, as I never know how a footfall will be supported. Also, and separately, my sense of balance has taken a noticeable hit. That whole downsizing ordeal, moving stuff, doing a major cleanup of the garage and shed, did a number on me. Not certain what can be done about it, but I'll check with the doctor about it.
