Finally saw this. Enjoyed it. I thought it was rather like Swingers, since a lot of it is the two main characters interacting (here the other one is John Leguizamo). He worked with Roy Choi to learn to cook so it would look good, and now they do a show together where they cook with various people, I think it's called The Chef Show, and it's pretty good.
