I just watched Hard Knock Wife. It was okay. I'm not that into stand-up anymore really. Even the live experience doesn't really do it for me, although it has been years since I've seen live comedy on the club level, where it's at. I think the last was, well, according to the forum here it was 2011 (http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...p?tid=2315). But aren't comedians all loud and brash nowadays? And so crass. I suppose that was always part of stand-up.
I went through a stand-up phase with ED and Mrs. ED way back in the day. I remember seeing Ellen before she did TV and before she came out. She was hilarious and definitely had that spark.
Ali reminds me a lot of a friend of mine, so it's a little surreal. Maybe it's one of those 'all asians look alike' type things.
