75+ bites. Ouch.
I stand corrected on calling these sand fleas or sand mites. Apparently those are actually little crabs and they don't infest houses. You really only get them on the beach. These are just seabright fleas in our bungalow. Stacy and I have both caught one recently. They are super tiny, like a speck of pepper. Stacy saw a period move across her book then she realized it was one. I thought they might be chiggers for a moment, but they don't burrow into skin like chiggers do. They are just nasty fleas that bite and run. I wish there was advantage for humans.
