The excitement of Monday gave way to the reality of Tuesday. The second offer never came in. They got cold feet. The buyers with the second offer had been outbid on 3 houses already. They didn't want to go for four. Paul, our realtor, told them to come back with a big enough offer to grab out attention and get us to sell. They seemed to like the idea. High numbers were bandied about. In the end, they walked away.
As for bid number one, the bid for our asking price, we aren't going to accept it at this time. Crazy, I know. It seemed counter intuitive to me. We set a price. They met it. And we said no. But that's the real estate game. Paul told us the buyer understood that and just wanted to be in the game. And we did get two very interested parties in again last night. People really seem to like the garage. Our potter wants to use it as a shop. Our musician wants to use it as rehearsal space.
No lookers on the schedule yet. The Queen would like to take a day off from cleaning the house.
