Christopher Robin (2018)
#1
Pooh was a major part of my childhood.  I was really into Tigger back then. I had this Tigger stuffy with an AM/FM radio in his belly.  It was my fav.  Now it's all about Eeyore for me.  This tugged on my heartstrings in many ways - nostalgic, so sweet, great homage references to the source, a father/daughter tale, and I loved the way the 100 acre wood stuffies were actualized - a superb usage of CGI. It's a tale of growing up and childhood dreams, just as one might expect, predictably yet charming because of those timeless characters.  Pooh was spot on - totally in character throughout - as were everyone else, especially Eeyore.  It wasn't until Tao of Pooh that I realized how influential Milne was upon my world view and this movie reaffirmed it. I only wish they did more with the Heffalumps and Woozles - very confoozles.
