Meh, it sounds “rapey” in today’s culture, but always seemed more like a seduction and not forced to me. Misogynist rap music, however, is nasty, period. Someone is always going to hate your music. This current kerfuffle will die down in a week or two and then go away.
Times change, interpreations change, some new interpretations are flat out wrong.
I can’t use the term “Niggardly” any more because people don’t have a vocabulary and would rather file a complaint than look it up.
I like the movie “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” but can’t watch it now because of Mickey Rooney’s horribly racist part. It’s too painful to watch.
So, I dunno, ED. Listen to what you like and tell the haters to fuck off, I guess.
