I rather enjoyed that. I liked The Get Down better just because of Shaolin Fantastic and the seedy promoter guy, plus having a lot of male characters get sexually abused was refreshing. Well, maybe that's not the best word to use there, but you know what I mean.
ST was amusing in that same retro way as TGD although a different time and culture. Perhaps that's the new Netflix formula. I loved the soundtrack - even more than all the film references tg mentioned in his review, the music brought me back to the MQ6 daze. And of course the D&D references were funny. It was fairly predictable by the halfway point, but still enjoyable. Wynona worked for me and the girl who played 11 is one to watch.
I might watch season 2 if it happens.
