RIP Gregory Isaacs

I'm a little surprised that there's only one mention of him here in my copious Reggae reviews. I don't know how many times I've seen Isaacs - dozens probably. His song 'Night Nurse' is a longstanding anthem for my JediNiteKrew. I always enjoyed hearing him as he was one of Reggae's originals, and always made note when he sang Night Nurse because I have such deep feelings about that song. I can even remember moments hearing it - inna smoky haze of that fire SNWMF, inna cool eve of RotR, at Raggamuffin.... It is coming to pass that the reggae pioneers are of the age where they are all moving on. Lung cancer got Isaacs - no surprise there. I will miss him.
