Last year there were a ton of lams for everyone. This year, there was an ALL ACCESS Cali lam, but only a few were given out to RM and I didn't get one. Those ALL ACCESS Cali lams didn't get you anywhere. The whole fest was wristband based, so there was really no need for lams at all. The only RM lams were the ones that I made. And I only had the bandwidth to make one this year.
The funniest thing was that Cali Roots, in all of its merchandising greed, was selling past ALL ACCESS lams for a buck. They had the Cali Roots logo and ALL ACCESS printed in bold on them. They could easily fool a lazy (or stoned) security gate person. Heck, the JNK used to make a game about how far they could get using the JNK lams that I made for them; most could jedi their way on stage with them by Sunday because by then, the drugs have worn down all the security to threadbare attention spans.
