This was an offering on Starz or some stupid premium channel we get because Dee Dee subscribes to the European sports channels.
I taped it because it could not be as bad as the description; "Russian soldiers encounter Nazi monsters...blah...blah".
This movie was awesome. DOOM-worthy. Basically Nazi-GWAR monsters versus 'found-footage' first-person military personnel.
Nevermind the slow start. It establishes the lone platoon of Russian soldiers making their way to a rendezvous point where comrades are in trouble. They plod along, changing 8mm film and exchanging banter having no idea what they are about to walk into.
I don't want to give to much away, but the soldiers end up fighting crazed mechano-cyborg freaks put together with '40s tech and shot with film that keeps burning out every 3 minutes.
I liked it.
