It's cathartic, to be sure, and a bittersweet process, triaging ones life in "stuff". I did that last Summer, giving away all of my furniture and then going through every shelf and box, making three piles: "Toss, Keep, Store". "Toss" was the biggest pile by far. Every year I have less.
I actually enjoyed the experience, esp the photos. You are right about the dust, though.

In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
