Anatomy of a Liar is a 45+ min 'making of' film. It's interesting in juxtaposition with Liar's Autobiography (the film) as it interviews the pythons, Gra's sig ) and blood brother, and a few other assorted people who knew him. It also gets behind the scenes of the animation which is tremendous, but sort of washed over me as there's so much of it. The DT scene which I really liked was done with oil paints on glass, giving it this pitch perfect pulsing feel. I usually disdain 'making of' info as it tends to be so self-absorbed, and barring a few exceptions, unless the product itself is absolutely mind-blowing, I really don't care how it was made. If it's a lame film, it's learning how shit is made by watching a doc on the digestive system. Actually, that might be more interesting than many 'making of' features. But this one is good, especially for python fans. Chapman was my least favorite python, but seeing all of this biographical material makes me realize how much I misjudged him.
