I love the rebooted Death Race series. I own the first one. The concept of car races with 'rollover' boosts and traps is awesome. It's like Mario Kart meets Carmageddon.

DM - Can you sneak me into "Death Race 3"? Hell, I'll drive you to the screening (Bwahhahahah).

I just submitted questions to Danny Trejo for his role in Death Race 3, which we're doing a little promo for early next year when it debuts on BRD. Of course, the Death Race series was revived by Statham a few years ago. I think I might have seen a scene from that while channel surfing late night Spanish TV.

So my interview with Trejo is teetering and they've tossed Luke Goss at me as a substitute (which is actually more appropo as Luke claims to study kung fu - Trejo was a boxer which is a dubious connection at best, but I'd play it just to get him). Actually, Robin Shou would be best as he's a martial arts dude and in all three of the DR reboot flicks (the only one to make it through them all, I think) but I'm actually not that interested in him as we've done stuff with him already (he was even on the cover of World of Martial Arts back in the day). Anyway, I started watching the original DR2000 (which is so deliciously Corman and stars Sly in a hilarious role billed beneath Carradine - yea, those were the days...) and DR2 (which I will concede to ED isn't bad so far, only I keep thinking of LB with prison films now). I'm about halfway through both flicks (netflix doesn't offer the DR reboot sadly, but then again, y'all know my issues with Statham).

However, I just got handed tonight's screening of something completely different that I totally want to see (I'll report tomorrow) so I don't know if I'll stay up late enough tonight to get through it and go on to finish those DR films.
