It was dramatically smaller. Only half of the Concourse was used and there was a lot more room than last year. As there were only 11 vols, dm had to takeover as the promoter point person (3P), and dm was returning their radios and overheard them doing their final tally. They lost a ton of money. This maybe the last time, maybe the last time, I don't know.
Dm went with his new padawan, the same kung fu bruddah who came to Beyond Wonderland; he now has a very surreal idea of what RM is about, and that's good as any padawan of dm's learns the hard way, as tradition demands. Dm went with the Cheshire cat ears again, as it worked so well at Wonderland. A tail was added, and a half face mask was made hastily just a few hours before, but dm didn't go with the mask as he wasn't feeling it, plus having to be the 3P, he had to be a face, not a masked face.
As for RM, there was a mix up and no gear was provided. All we had was a bag with two tyedyes, some medical tape and some antiseptic hand wipes, so we had to fake it for a few hours until some supplies could be appropriated from Bassnecter @ BGC a few blocks away. Bassnectar got hammered. They had a small staff too.
The first patient was a buxom woman who was going to be sacrificed who had forgotten her pasties and needed a pair to be made from medical tape. Fortunately, there was medical tape. She was offered medical assistance in the application of the medical tape pasties, but she declined.
Batgirl was working as a performer. Dm brought her to the show last year and she really got into it. Dm feels like he planted a little seed and it blossomed. She was spanked and whipped by pros, as well as two young eager RM vols, which took the night into a historic RM episode. She offered dm a chance 'you really want to spank me, don't you?' but dm declined as he's not into it. After the Folsom years with PPFY, the S&M&B&D scene holds no appeal to Dm, despite persistent rumors to the contrary.
There was a roll - a broken ankle - patient requested and after seeing the contortion, rightly so. As the 3P, dm found that the promoters didn't do incident reports, which is really amateur.
Dm also did a talkdown for an older guy who had too much pot. That happened right next to the main stage, the worst place to try to do anything because it was so loud, but dm went for in anyway, just for the sake of the challenge. Once everything was settled, dm suggested that they move somewhere quieter, at which point the guy danced away happily.
There were a lot of great performances including a knife thrower, a decent contortionist and the best pole dancer dm has ever seen. Lots of EDM. Dm gravitated to the dub step stage the most.
The two reasons for anything for the night:
#1: It's fun.
#2: Because you can.
There was a game of spin the wheel that several vols played. They all got free shoulder rubs from a dude in a cape. Dm wasn't particularly enticed to participate, but told those that did that they should tell the others and omit the dude part, so as to get other vols involved. That worked, much to dm's amusement.
