I should have helped proof it like I promised and now I feel bad that I didn't. The only reason I finally sat down to read it was my current search for talismans and lodestones to aid in my own Shaolin Journey. Fear is a great motivator.
I should have read this book long ago. So many things would be clearer. So many pitfalls would have been missed. So many Faux Paxs avoided. Well maybe not the Faux Paxs. I do have a rep to keep up.
Reading this book felt like being overmatched in a fight. The information kept coming like blows to the head. Just when I thought I had a handle on one part there would be a long dissertation on Shaolin itself, or one of the masters, or a fighting style and I would be woozy from information overload all over again.
Where does DM keep all this information? This must be his particular form of Kung Fu.
