The Exotic Erotic collapsed under its own weight last year. It had been at the Cow Palace for several years, which was quite a downgrade from the Concourse. The Cow Palace (aka El Palacio de Bovino) is where livestock craps and is killed, where gun shows, truck pulls, reptile shows and wrasslin is staged. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just for EE, it got really dirty and nasty. RM stopped doing EE because they didn't pay. It was during our director transition, and the new director didn't know you had to get cash in advance for those particular promoters. Last year, they tried to hold it at the Craneway, a much smaller but nicer venue in Richmond. They cancelled it due to weak pre-sale, so it no longer exists.
Masquerotica was promoted by several groups including those behind LovEvolution (<!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="http://brotherhoodofdoom.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1405">viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1405</a><!-- l -->) and Sea of Dreams (<!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="http://brotherhoodofdoom.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=663">viewtopic.php?f=7&t=663</a><!-- l -->), as well as Coyote, which was the original source of the Hooker's Ball. Of course, with that many strippers/B&D/S&M in the house, there was some overlap in terms of promoters, but it's a totally new beast.
I was honored to be there to help bust the cherry of this new event.
