I did see a short film where Bob Geldoff played himself losing a Bob Geldoff look-alike contest. He played himself as rude and selfish. I thought it was pretty funny. Him yelling "but I'm Saint Bob!" as the coppers shoved him into the back of a police car.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
