Dawn of the Dead (2004)

I watched this on Hulu with my son tonight. I thought it was going to be the original, but this was the remake. While we've been having a rant on remakes recently, I have to say that this one was pretty good. It was a "serious" horror movie, and lost a some of the B-movie over-the-top comedic/horror charm of the original, but it was entertaining, with decent acting, some recognizable faces (a guy from ER and a guy from Medium) and higher budget effects. Watching on Hulu, the tempo was broken up by commercials, and some ad placements like Cuba Gooding Jr. doing a PSA for colon cancer made the experience a little weirder.
