Not that it is a competition, but I got those two + the pneumonia vaccine.

And it’s totally a competition.

Kung Fu practice first thing. I’m looking forward to that because I’ve missed the last 2 weeks. Then a spot of work because of swap obligations, and a quick early Yuki walky because Stacy has home clients. Then I’m working the last quarry show of the season - acid bath - which sounds exactly like you’d think a band called asic bath might sound. I anticipate trauma.

The Queen has left for the day so I am gearing up to watch what could possibly be the stupidest Toy/TV tie-in this evening.

It's going to be awful.

This from Thursday and I forgot to post. Christina and I went to Costco after work, and there was a guy wearing a pith helmet. The rest of his outfit was sandals with socks, shorts, and a short sleeve button down shirt, partly unbuttoned to show off his gold chain.

And this was the pointy pith helmet, not the mailman kind (like Ken's that the tripper grabbed), but like a 19th century English explorer or big game hunter.

Was everything khaki?

Sounds like “De-Colonizing” was not his agenda

White shirt, I think blue pants. He was Black, so maybe taking it from the oppressor?

Today was very relaxing. I slept in and then nibbled at some writing. Then I had a long call with my disciple brother Dieter gossiping about Shaolin bizness. After that we went to the vets hall for a poetry reading from one of our yoga friends. There were two authors releasing poetry books and readings. We didn’t know the first one and she was putting me to sleep. The second was our friend and she was ok but her poetry didn’t do that much for me. Several yoga friends were there, including our teacher who asked where I’ve been - been slacking on yoga since Japan but Japan>Jazz fest>Denver was a decent excuse. I enjoyed some carrot cake there. Then we went to thr Peace United church for a recital by pianist Alon Goldstein and cellist Jonah Kim. Their second piece - a Beethoven - was incendiary. So incredible, so much fire. The secind half was delightful but didn’t reach such heights. Then there was a nice Q&A and we went home.

A very pleasant Sunday

I have the day off today

So I’m gonna work.

Doing laundry, and some writing. Gotta return a phone call to a my Jamaican tai chi master friend who talks a lot. But right now I’m chilling with Yuki, enjoying the morning sun and some green tea I brought back from Uji, Japan.

Time to celebrate the arrival of the new couches! The old couches left yesterday. The dogs were not amused to have their couches removed.

It's Greg. There already are photos.

Two telemeets today, then lunch at Aldos in the Harbor with some old friends, parents of someone Tara went to High School with. Yeah, it's bragging time about our daughter the Juris Doctor. Then Iaido tonight.

oops. it's telemeetin time...
