"They"? "They" who? I'm not gonna talk to no Doctor bout this! That is just what Big Spin wants!

It's following the normal course; 2 or 3 days for it to slowly reduce.

This is from cf, not me.

On Saturday, cf was admitted to Kaiser Santa Clara (next to Apple HQ) for a rather large pulmonary embolism. He's there now and they have him on blood thinners and gabapentin. He's fragile and unable to move from his bed to a chair. When I stopped by this morning, he was in the process of moving to a chair which was a two person job with a special transport device. He managed to sit for an hour, part of his therapy, before he had to lie down again from fatigue.

I mentioned that D00M (well, Greg at least) sends their regards and well wishes. He said to say 'thanks'.

While I was there he was alert and joking with staff. His voice was clearer than it was the last time I saw him. lcf is exhausted. She doesn't know how she'll manage him when he is realized. At this point, there is no firm release date and the hope is that he'll be transferred to an intermediary care center where he can get regular physical therapy before returning home.

Several of our kwoon-mates have visited and I'll try to go again next week if he's still there. lcf said he perked up with visitors so they are very welcome. If any of you want to visit, let us know and we'll loop you into the details.

I'll be monitoring the situation and reporting any developments here.

Cf has been transferred to a rehab center and has 20 days there at least. He’ll get a doctor’s review on Tuesday. Hopefully lcf can get more time and resources then, but having gone through that so many time before with my parents, it’s challenging to get attention from a doc at a rehab center. I’m gonna try visit again before I take my mom to a cardiogram this week:

Ugh. The full No Bueno. Hopefully, rehab is close to home.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

Leaving this here just so I don't have to search it out again (cf's rehab)

Just saw cf again. He seemed in better spirits and not in too much pain anymore. He's hoping to be released home today. I'll be a challenge for lcf to care for him on her own. They'll need some sort of chairlift but their house has a tiny bathroom and tight halls, so it's tough to manipulate a wheelchair through all that. cf weighs in at 180, too much for lcf to move by herself unless cf can help more.

MSA is rough. cf is losing control of his vocal cords. But his sense of humor is still strong.
