The German market caused spillover to the Biergarten. It was packed. Parking was crazy. I was 4 blocks away on the narrowest 2-way street I've seen in the valley. Aaron played a planned 30-min solo set while so walked back to the car to get some gear that I forgot. Then I played a 45min set. Tripped the breaker with my crazy power needs (mic/pa and acoustic guitar). We had to stop for about 20 min while they figured it out. Then we played a duo set, tripping the breaker once more. We played thru it, then wrapped up a couple more songs. Most people were dining and chatting, but a couple of times people asked what song I had just played, so they were paying attention.

Sounds like a euphemism to me.
Sorry I missed it bro. I've been fighting my allergies this week after this weird December bloom here in the Cruz. After Kung Fu and a shower, I collapsed into a major nap. Just getting to the tasks I hoped to do today now.

Gonna save this for when I can turn it up. Kashmir must be cranked, even when aspirational.

The Dudes are back...2 gigs this week:
We're the featured artist for the open mic at Three Flames Restaurant in San Jose this Wednesday, 2/23. We start at 7pm and play for ~30min.
We are also going to be back at Ludwig's Biergarten on Castro St in Mountain View this Sat, 2/28, from 3-5pm. Since we don't have 2 hours worth of music, Aaron, the other dude, joined by his cousin, Dan, will be opening as "D n A". Then, I'll play a middle set, solo. We'll do our Dude's set from 4-5pm. It looks like the weather is going to cooperate: cloudy, with a temps in the upper 60's!

I forgot to make a poster and share. The dudes are at Ludwig's again for appearance #5 - this Sunday, 3/29, from 3-5pm. It will be a reprise of the 2/28 show in some respect:
"DNA" - Aaron, with his cousin Dan on fiddle will start us off with a 30 min set.
I will follow with a 30 min set and will borrow Dan for a song or two.
Then Tasteful Dudes will finish out the show.

The next TD show is the first Saturday in May, at Ludwig’s again.
This is not TD, but from Red Rock open mic tonight - me and another open mic-er, Anguel. The first time we played it thru together was right before we went on. had a bum note in the looper, but it still worked out. We didn’t have anyone to do the cymbal splashes, but it occurred to me this afternoon that a rainstick would be a pretty good substitute, so we roped in the Open Mic MC. Sadly, she sat at the drumkit in the back and didn’t get picked up on the camera.

We played again on june 6...I thought I had pre-announced it, but I guess not...maybe that would explain the light attendance. Aaron and his cousin Dan started us off with a 30-40min set, then I did a 30min set, starting with 2 songs, joined by Dan on violin, then I did 4 more songs with Anguel, another open mic-er. LIke a Drug by the Queens of the Stone Age, followed by 3 instrumentals, all of which come out great, then for our last song, we covered Albatross by Fleetwood Mac, with Ashley, the host of the Red Rock open mic on rainstick (to simulate the cymbal splashes).
Ludwig's has a busy July with The Fourth, FIFA, and a live Rocky Horror performance at the end of the month...We'll be back again, first Sat in August.
