I think music video oners are also pretty interesting because there is so much to coordinate...I see a thread coming.

The Spice Girls oner for Wannabe...FTW!

Alright, back on topic - It struck me later that both John Wick 4 and D&D are father/daughter tales.

That's not what I want. What I really really don't want.

It's so much about Rina now... so glad Tara made me watch her set at OSL.

I'm in the zoom green room, queued for my interview with Director Chad. The rep just confirmed that he sees me waiting and that I'll be in at 5 after...

Virtual waiting rooms suck. At least with in-persons, you could chat with fellow reporters. D00M is my pre-interview chat surrogate.

Is it awkward, chatting with DOOM on ZOOM?

Yeah, D&D was fun. A lighthearted romp. Made us both laugh...

Good tip -- thanks. When are you up here next? Coffee or whisky should happen

Or cheese.

Well, that was fucking great! Chad is so cool and we totally connected on that action fan boy vibe. Being able to drop that I know Marko and that I caught one of his Easter eggs (the radio station call letters) plus knowing SPL, got me in tight. We could've talked for hours. I felt a little bad because obviously his voice was cracking - it gave out a few times and he was drinking lots of water. What a fascinating artist. A personal hero.

Our conversation hardly followed my questions but it covered everything I was looking for and then some. Now to compress this into an article...

I'm actually going to be up on Saturday because my Shaolin disciple brother is in town for GDC at Moscone. We haven't seen each other face-to-face in years. But that'll usurp all my attention so our coffee/whiskey/cheese rendezvous will have to wait...When is the next time you'll be down in the Cruz? (bring a dingy - NOT that kind of dingy - one to ford floods).
