Yeah, this was a bad idea. Garth Brooks narrates this cursory story of Yosemite. Basically the foundation backstory comes down to one line. Most of the forty four minutes is given over to showcasing animals in the park. We see newts and black bears and squirrels and owls. As interstitials between these subjects we occasionally cut to Yosemite Falls or El Capitan.
I did like the the high angle shots they did of the valley. Those helicopter shots did offer some interesting perspectives. But if you want to learn about the park, this isn't the documentary to teach you. And I really hate the way Brooks makes coyotes a two syllable word.
