S1 is 3 1.5 hour eps. Set in France, it’s Brits playing French peeps. Lovely locations but the accents don’t match.
Roger Allum is a judge but really he’s an investigator akin to his Endeavor role yet less hard nosed. His partner lover is a criminal psychologist. They solve murders.
I didn’t watch the first ep. Stacy said it was okay. I watched the second two, which were also okay. I dozed off in the last one, but woke as a new character was revealed and fingered him immediatly, and was right of course. Reminded me of dozing in class, being called out by the teacher but answering the question correctly. Yay me. That might have skewed my positivity about this show.
One of the cops, Helene, is a great character. She’s a big woman of color, and refreshingly in control.
This was 2022 and I’d watch another season because I like Allum.
Not particularly D00M recommended. Y’all aren’t into euro murder mysteries like us. Plus it’s Brit box
