A Korean family relocates to Arkansas for work. They move to a mobile home on a large piece of barren land. Their work is sorting chicks by looking at their genitals. The dad aspires to build a farm to grow Korean vegetables. The son has a heart defect. The wife wants to go back to CA. Her mom moves in with them. There’s a crazy Christian dude that helps the farmer.
This is a very human story. Intimate family dynamics played out with no soundtrack, a portrait of a common life and a family’s struggles. It’s authentic and earnest, well paced and dramatic. We were both engaged. It’s reserved but tells its story with heart. It’s almost like real life.
D00M recommended if you like this sort of film.
Note this is Amazon prime w/sho
