Another film that would have been really awesome in 3D. It wasn't what I expected and then again, it was. Typical animated family fare pacing - a lot of father/daughter issues. It's not about cavemen. It's more of a fantasy world, like the original Land of the Lost, as the creatures are all very colorful and fantastic. T & I were pleasantly surprised that it didn't totally suck. Nic Cage was unrecognizable. Emma Stone was sort of like Merida (Brave) on steroids. And 'guy' was basically Hiccup recycled from How to Train Your Dragon. Notably, John Cleese was one of the writers. No sword fights. They weren't invented yet.
