Fly Me to the Moon (2024)
#1
Scarlett Johansson is Madison Avenue hotshot who will do anything to land a client and sell a product. She gets a job from Woody Harrelson's Nixon advisor to go to Florida to help promote Nasa's Apollo missions to the American Public. Naturally, Johansson butts heads with Channing Tatum who is in charge of sending rockets into space. Of course they fall in love. But there are ups and downs along the way. Some of the film is quite funny. And it's an interesting look at that period of sending men to the moon. There is also the question of the fake moon landing.

Of the three films I saw on Apple's free weekend, this was the best.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

I was going to call out the movie for saying that "the P51 was just like the one I flew in the war" coupled with the "I flew N missions in the Korean War". The P-51 came out in the early 40s and I didn't think they were still using them in the 50s, but TIL, according to Wikipedia:
Quote:At the start of the Korean War, the Mustang, by then redesignated F-51, was the main fighter of the United States until jet fighters, including North American's F-86 Sabre, took over this role; the Mustang then became a specialized fighter-bomber.

I was following the rest of the movie ok until the LEM camera bit. I found that last minute stuff entirely implausible and irritating.
