La Honda Music Festival @ La Honda 6/16/007

The festival was in a little garden area about three or four times the size of my property, which is to say, it was small. There were a dozen or so booths and lots of local musicians, including an incarnation of Pacific Vibrations, which is two brothers who graduated from the same school my kid is in. They're sort of a mix between Jack Johnson and Michael Franti - CA reggae, if you will. We entered and left with Dead tunes playing. Made us nostalgic, after all, La Honda has some serious Dead history with the pranksters. It's amazing to think that it still echoes here, so many years after.

We kept hoping Neil Young would show. That's a constant possibility with La Honda, but apparently it's never happened at the festival yet. Still, everyone is wishful....
