[Seen on Kanopy]
A documentary on the history and variations on a single joke. A bit long in the tooth, but still quite funny in places. Various comedians are interviewed, and most give their rendition. The joke has an infamously bad punchline, but even that has variations. Of course, a movie like this needs its own punchline, served up in a fashion by Gilbert Gottfried's notorious on-stage rendition at a celebrity roast in NYC shortly after 9/11.
In fact, this movie serves as a suitable send-off for not only Gilbert Gottfried but also Bob Saget, arguably the most inventive at telling the joke.
Not necessarily recommended, but I enjoyed seeing various comedians going where you wouldn't think them capable of going with their humor.
