B&W anti drug flick. Burma is a teenager who drinks 5 cent beers and goes out dancing instead of doing her homework. Her and her friends (who are all easily in their mid 20s) get invited to by two Spanish gangsters who ply them with champagne and joy weed. They giggle a lot. The gals all get nekkid and go swimming. Burma gets knocked up. Another gal drowns. Burma’s bf takes a job smuggling drugs but is killed by the cops on his first jib. After the gangsters arrange for Burma to have her baby secretly and give it away to be adopted, Burma changes her name to Blondie and becomes a drug queen pin.
There’s a strange obsession with shoes that starts with a false heel that secrets some joints and then moves to random close up’s of shoes. The nekkid swim scene is stark in b&w - some pre-aerobics butts which must’ve been daring back then.
All in all, unimpressive. Not D00M recommended.
