I am all in.
One Piece has dominated the cons ever since (mostly because it's an easy cosplay). I toyed with the idea of doing Zorro, but I'd have to shave my mustache & beard, and I'm not going to shave my beard because it hides a scar. My facial hair and race keeps me out of a lot of cosplays...

We let go of Netflix because I'm not working for Den of Geek anymore and can no longer justify writing it off.
So naturally the final trailer is Zoro.

S2e1 This picks right up from last season with a major fight scene, the return of some fun characters, and the main cast has found their feet. There’s a very amusing Zoro in a sword shop scene that reminded me of our AFS daze cor no reason beyond being a sword shop. Mostly, it was the fight choreo, which captures the outrageous dynamics of anime fight scenes well - fun cartoony action.
I’m in. And no, we didn't renew Netflix. We’re piggybacking on Tara’s sub, which seems only fair because she piggybacked on ours for years. She said i had to see the sword shop scene and she was right.

I'm 4 eps deep now. It remains fun, capturing that anime irreverence and overkill. The main arc of this season is the following the Grand Line in search of the One Piece with Baroque assassins hot on their tail.
E3 had this: I've been learning a lot about One Piece because IG has dialed in and knows I'm watching it (feckn IG eavesdropping AI) I'm brimming with OP factoids: Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, resolved to be a manga artist because he didn't want a 'real job'. He resolved to do this at age 4. There's a real One Piece that contains the conclusion of the series that Oda, dropped into the sea. From the video of the stunt, OP fans have been searching for it and have narrowed it down to a specific chunk of ocean. One person aside from Oda know how it will end. Oda told a Make-a-wish cancer patient, and she took it to her grave. Oda married an actress/model that was playing Numi in a stage play interpretation of OP. It doesn't take any in depth analysis of the OP to see that Numi is clearly Oda's fantasy dream girl. They've been happily married since 2004 and have two kids.

I enjoyed the cactus island bar fight.

2 eps to go. Still amusing although losing some speed. I know Luffy doesn't find the One Piece so I’m curious where this season will end.

Caught the first episode. Monkey still annoys me. Why are we following him again? I keep asking myself how can 5 people sail that ship, especially when none of them seem to be actually sailing the ship. How do you provision the whole ship for a long sea voyage with just one fish?
I did like the fight with the smoker. The sword shop was fine. The fight with all the hands was also nice and creepy. There were bits that were amusing but there were a lot that were not.

It's a live-action based on an absurd anime, one of the longest running ever (1155 episodes and counting). I'm sure you'll find the answers to your questions if you just watch the anime.

Seen.
The final arc is about Drum island and introduces Chopper, a much beloved character. E7 is devoted to his backstory. Took me until the end to recognize Peg from Married with Children. She was familiar but I just couldn’t place it until the end. The more I think about Oda dedicating his life to this at age 4, the more it makes sense. It’s such a young boy’s fantasy and everything is cartoonish. It works due to its purity. It’s so authentically childlike and that feels nostalgic.its absurd like a prepubescent playtime of make believe. I wonder where we are in the 1100+ anime series. I peeped at a few of those and it seemed very much the same, only much slower. This show can go on forever. It’s not the greatest thing but it’s diverting from the woes of the world, and that’s all I want from a show like this. I’ll tune into the next season.
