Because of the Covid crisis, our entertainment companies are helping out by pushing up releases on movies and even streaming them the day they go into theaters. Frozen 2 was originally supposed to go to Disney+ in July, but last week they put it up online for all to see. All of those who have Disney+, that is.
This film made over a billion dollars at the Box Office and I don't know why. It seems like a straight to DVD release that Disney does to wring out the most from its properties. Since it did do huge Box Office, I guess Disney knows things I don't.
This movie is a stinker. It seemed like days before anything happens except for the kvetching between the sisters about not leaving the other behind and how their love will always be strong. Meanwhile the boyfriend is trying to propose.
Eventually they all have to go to the enchanted forest because of things that happened years ago. There is adventures and songs and I can't be arsed to tell you about it because it just makes me sleepy.
"Into the Unkown" is the big power house battle that Idina Menzel sings multiple times and the Panic! At the Disco singer does over the credits. It doesn't have near the power of the "Let it Snow" ear worm.
SPOILER: There is one funny bit when Elsa refuses to listen to a shadow from her past sing the song END SPOILER
Although there is one battle which is probably why it got the PG rating, the swords fights aren't very long.
Hard Pass.

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
