Got the rejection on the Film Freeway website rather than any official notification from Flicker's Rhode Island Film Festival. Now, I can spend the day eating my feelings.

Thought I had a shot with Not (they were looking for offbeat films), but it was Not to be. They also jumped the gun early. Not isn't due until next week. Checking the analytics, someone did watch almost the entire movie in Italy but it was at the opposite end of the country from where the Not film festival is held.

Thank you for submitting your project to the NOT FILM FEST. Unfortunately, we are not able to include it in our program this year.
Please know that your project was carefully considered by our programming team, and the decision was incredibly difficult to say the least. Unfortunately, not all of the wonderful projects we consider can be included, and we are forced to make many difficult decisions each year.
We wish you all the best for the film’s future screenings and we thank you again for giving us the opportunity to consider your film.

I will not be going to Kansas City. Fortunately, it was a free entry. I guess that makes it better.

We are grateful that you submitted your movie to the Universal Film Festival. We regretfully won't be able to include it in our curriculum this year. After carefully considering your idea, our development team made a decision that was, to put it kindly, very challenging. Sadly, not every great idea we explore can be implemented, and we usually have to make challenging decisions.
