I started grinning during the last ten minutes of this film, and when the credits rolled, I had to chuckle.
A social worker investigates the ultimate dysfunctional family, consisting of an alcoholic mother (Ruth Roman), two demented daughters, and Baby, who, though 21 years old, wears diapers and sleeps in a crib.
Ruth Roman as Baby's mother steals the movie. Though you get the sense she's a touch beyond deranged, you can't help rooting for her. The two daughters provide further menace. As for Baby ... what can I say? All in all, surprisingly engrossing, and you just never quite know where it's headed.
