My Flying Wife (1991)

After last night's Gambling Ghost ( http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...4#pid78684 ), YT suggested this old Sammo flick. It's another horror comedy but there's not much Kung Fu, so it didn't work for me that well. Sammo plays a leader of a small triad gang and one of his members can see ghosts. A hottie ghost dressed in traditional attire is trying to get her son reincarnated and he needs the life pearl of someone recently deceased. They find another hottie who is about to commit suicide because she owes Sammo's boss money. The ghost seer stops her because he sees the ghosts waiting, but it's his task to bring her in, and Sammo decrees that she can pay off her debt with a few months of whoring. The ghost seer is assigned to be her pimp. Meanwhile, the hottie ghost turns out to be Sammo's 'flying wife' from a previous life, who was killed for getting pregnant out of wedlock (not sure why the son figures in because she's executed before he is born but best not to dwell on such details). 

I liked when Sammo incarnated Guan Yu and proceeded to slap his son's butt with the flat of his guandao, leading his son to exclaim "my ass is painful!" 

I also liked that the reincarnation bureau in hell was like a bank teller line that never ended. Yes, that is how I envision hell. 

But not enough Kung Fu to D00M recommend. Not at all.
