There are a few films with this same title. This is the one where Justin Long has a really bad trip.
He’s an insurance lawyer who just closed a huge case so he goes out to celebrate despite having to present it before the board the next morning. It goes horribly awry after that ol’ gateway drug - a rail of coke. Then he moves to some harder stuff and things get trippy.
It’s a great depiction of a bad trip. It comes in waves and of course the peak bad trip part goes down at that board presentation. But there’s so much more before and after that. Justin didn’t act tripped out enough although clearly the filmmakers had a solid grasp of a bad trip because there were moments that were so spot on. I’ve had patients that said parallel things to Justin’s rants.
It’s also that he’s out on a Tuesday night, which is when I watched it. Tues is an uncommon party night - unless I have the bungalow to myself and no need to get up early tomorrow. I could binge on all night if I wanted.
Highly D00M recommended, particularly for the experienced not necessarily stoned just beautiful D00Mers. But I think it has something for everyone here.
