A four episode series starring Forbes magazine #3 highest grossing comic in 2013 and the first comedian to get a Netflix special, Russel Peters. Nope. Never heard of him either. What hooked me in for this series was seeing William Shatner in the trailer. Yes, that William Shatner.
Peters stars as a Toronto Constable 3rd class who botches a raid on a truck coming across the US-Canadian border. Because of his mistake, he is demoted to Constable 4th Class and given a month's suspension. You know the show is going to be good when Peter boss tells him he doesn't fallen the rules. Peters decides to travel to Mumbai to visit his father who he hasn't seen in five years.
Once in Mumbai he gets involved in an investigation which might have roots in the botched raid back in Toronto. There is also a pretty lawyer lady who lives downstairs from his father's apartment.
We saw two episodes. They weren't great. Peters isn't very good as the constable. He acts like a comedian with plenty of opportunities for him to riff on what is going on around him. Chances are high we will not seen the final two episodes. Shatner appears briefly in each episode as a Trump like figure trying to get a building built.
The main draw for me were seeing some of the Mumbai locations as I am unfamiliar with that part of the world. Sure, mostly they show the poor areas but it was still interesting to watch.
Not recommended. Definitely no sword fights. Or any fights really.

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
