Tara and I used to watch the Disney cartoon. It was cute, a girl-power spy spoof with a simple animated style and decent comic timing. Kim was great but it all came apart in one of the movies that followed the series when she hooked up with her sidekick & comic relief, Ron Stoppable. They're relationship was great when it was platonic - it was one of the elements that made the original show work. That was the end of Kim for me.
Fast forward to 2019 when Disney makes live-actions of everything, including its odd animated series. The live-action is bad, really really bad. The only character that works is Ron and the nekkid molerat Rufus. I can see how the other characters tried to mimic the cartoon - Draken, Shego, that computer kid that always sucked soda - their voices were okay but ultimately they all fail to catch the charm of the originals, most of all Kim herself. Very disappointing.
