The Lost City (2022)
#1
Yep. We spent the bucks and went full Rom-Com

Sandra Bullock plays Loretta a romance novelist. Channing Tatum plays the long haired cover model Dash who appears on the covers of Loretta's books. Loretta started off life as an archeologist but switched to books to pay her bills. Daniel Radcliff is the billionaire, Abigail Fairfax, who needs Loretta to help find a lost treasure.

You've all seen the trailer. You know how this goes. And for the most part, it wasn't that bad. The end was a little weak as they had to do the thing to get the thing before the other thing happens. It was pretty tedious. But Radcliffe seemed to be having a good time. Brad Pitt is good in his cameo, probably the best section of the movie. Tatum was effective as Dash who really doesn't have any skills but being pretty. Bullock and Tatum make a good team.

This film is probably not what many of the brothers prefer but it was a good diversion from the madness.

Just watched this on Amazon Prime and I’m pleased that I waited for it to appear on one of my services. I concur with Greg on everything except that I’m not sure it’s the real Greg since he seems to like it more than the real Greg would. So off brand. Well, we all have out off days.

Brad’s cameo reminded me of Channing’s cameo in Bullet Train - nails it.

Gotta give credit to Sandra. She’s my age. Channing is like a decade and a half younger. You seldom see older women with younger men. It’s usually the other way around like with most of the latter Moore Bond flicks. I’d be like if I was in a rom-com with Christina Ricci… yeah if…yeah….

Sandra and Channing had decent chemistry and comic banter (although I didn’t laugh once). Daniel was a decent villain. Hp factor 1.

Just saw Bullet Train.  They do seem to be trading cameos.  Were they made at the same time?

If I understand correctly, does Daniel Radcliff play a female here?
