Dee Dee gave me an iPod Touch for my birthday. It is now my constant companion (don't worry - she has her own and is having an affair with Peggle).
I loaded it up with music, games and a Xvid I converted to .mp4. I chose 'Role Models' because I felt a comedy would lose the least impact on a small screen. Now to find a time I could devote 90 minutes to staring at the little love of my life.
The opportunity arose when I arrived at a doctors appointment an hour early (it was in S.F. and by driving Dee Dee and a friend to work we get to use the carpool lane). After dropping them off I found a nice corner of the hospital parking garage and fired up 'Role Models'.
Our Honda Element has an auxiallary audio input jack so I ran the sound through the car speaker system. It actually sounded pretty good. The movie played perfectly and I grew accustomed to the tiny screen fairly quickly.
The movie was standard Man meets kid/Man loses kid/Man gets kid fare. I didn't really laugh out loud until the last 10 minutes when it goes all LARP-y, at which point it made watching the previous hour worthwhile.
Mark says get an iTouch and check out the last 10 minutes.
