Meryl does tai chi in this. I once tried to secure an interview with her because of that. I failed obviously, or else I would have been bragging incessantly to you all about interviewing Meryl. Her tai chi is super stiff and posed, but then, given her character, it should be so.
As for the film, it's a small indie about Chinese grad students. If you've been in a PhD program, it will speak to you just like Streleski. It's an odd role for Meryl. There needed to be more of her. And of course, she gets the best line of the flick, even if it's in Chinese.
