Fool Me Once is another Netflix series based on a Harlen Coben book. And once again the action is transplanted from New Jersey to London, which makes everything better.
In Ep01 we have a flashback to something bad that happened in 1996 with a group of kids in masks. Then we flash forward to the funeral of Maya's husband who was killed during a robbery. Maya's husband's mother is Joanna Lumley of Absolutely Fabulous fame. Lumley is a therapist and wants Maya to seek help for her grief. Things get twisty when Maya sees her dead husband on video footage from the nanny cam that was recorded while Maya was out of the house. Meanwhile the investigators into the death of her husband think the murder might also be tied into the death of Maya's sister.
