I thought I was going to scratch off another Oscar film, but not so much.

Look, Ron Howard is a good director. He makes visually interesting films. He is just a little weak on narrative.

This was kind of an old fashioned period piece movie detailing the Formula 1 Circuit during the 1970's mainly 1976 when Nikki Lauda and James Hunt battled for supremacy. Stop yawning. The story never rises to really involving. Both leads are jerks and you can't root for either one. Lauda was a control freak for which every thing had to be perfect on a race car. While Hunt relied on instinct and natural skill to win races. They hate each other but come to admire each other.

There are a lot of sexy racing visuals. Lots of nudity which I found odd in a Howard film. But the story never grabbed me.
So much for the flickr badge idea. Dammit
