The Great Buck Howard
#1
Who knew I would learn so much about the Amazing Kreskin, I mean Buck Howard. The writer/director of this film actually worked for Kreskin and that makes this movie a Roman a Clef of sorts. Colin Hanks plays Buck Howards assistant. Tom Hanks in an amazing bit of casting, plays Colin's father. John Malkovich plays Howard.

It's one of those quiet little story films, almost like it should have been made in the seventies. It was well directed and well acted but the story is kind of slight. It's about a mentalist at the end of his career still out, doing his schtick. Who finally gets another big break and what he does with it. It also comes down to the question of whether you want big fame or little fame.
So much for the flickr badge idea. Dammit
