Left Foot of Wrath (Bunnoui woinbal) (South Korea --1974)
I haven't actually watched this movie. I haven't even seen a poster for it. But I'm going to review it anyway. I mean, who's to stop me? It's not like we're being "watched over" right now. Take a deep breath. Inhale through the nose. What do you smell?
Anarchy.
Yes, anarchy is in the air. There's no rules at this point. So I'm reviewing this sucker sight unseen -- because I can.
And afterwards, I just might mosey over to Books and review a Steinbeck novel. Who's to stop me? I mean, really and literally. Who's to stop me?
Left Foot of Wrath is a South Korean movie released in 1974. It's about South Korea. And since Bruce Lee was at his height in 1974, this must be a kung fu movie. No, make that Hapkido.
Fun Park is a happy man. He runs his own restaurant, and he has a girlfriend named Joy Ride who makes him very happy. But one day an evil gang kidnaps Joy Ride and makes her into a junkie. Fun Park has only one thing on his mind. Revenge. He spends minutes mastering Hapkido, then takes on the gang with his left foot -- killing them all. Except the gang leader. The gang leader uses a mirror, see, which confuses Fun Park, tricking him into using his right foot, which he isn't very good at. But then Fun Park finds another mirror. By employing it, he cancels the effect of the evil gang leader's mirror. Finally he kicks the heart out of the evil gang leader's chest. The heart lands in the lap of Joy Ride, who is sitting nearby on a curb about to inject more heroin. The heart knocks the needle out of her grip, and it is spinning in the air even as the heart pulsates bloodily in her lap. Freeze-frame, and credits roll.
The end.
