Doing a bit of deep dive research on the creator of Yasuke http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomFor...p?tid=6216
This was LeSean Thomas' previous anime:
It's a crazy comic book mashup of Wild West towns, transformer mechs, aliens, droids and bots. It's kinda fun in that absurd anime way. I got a few eps deep - they're short - less than a half hour and there's like 10 or so. I'm not sure if I'll see it through. Maybe.
The development of this is a trippy story in itself. Thomas set up a crowdfunded comic and then leapfrogged into creating this anime. He's from the Bronx and now lives in Japan making anime.
There's some bladed weapon stuff but more shotguns and laser blasts. Maybe there was a sword. I wasn't paying that much attention because I was eating peanut butter on crackers which were messy and I didn't want to spill on myself. Yuki was watching me intently as I ate and he licks me enough already - I don't need to be covered in peanut butter.
