He was home. He had seen his doctor earlier in the week about his shortness of breath and the doctor suggested seeing a pulmonologist about a heart study next week. In between the two, his health deteriorated rapidly and he got to ride with the EMTs to the hospital.

I guess there's some comfort in that.
I think I've mentioned that I've been advising/counseling an old Rock Med friend whose mom had a stroke waiting for muni. No one knows how long she was down and with strokes, it's all about quick response.
So is he getting an angioplasty?

I fell off a table at work yesterday - chair slipped when I stepped down onto it - and landed on my tailbone and hit the base of my skull on the crosspiece of the next table. (Crosspiece was at floor level.) Went to Kaiser and got a CT scan to check for brain bleed, and it was negative. I think my brain might have gotten bounced around though. It was probably the most intense hit on the head I've ever had. I think even worse than when the hook on an elastic strap came loose from my roof rack and hit me just above the eye. My thoughts were all jumbled for a few seconds and I couldn't get a sentence together, and my hands and feet got numb and tingly. Now I'm just stiff and sore and still have a headache.
The doctor's last name was Chng. And I discovered that Kaiser on Lawrence has a secret urgent care. It's called the Ambulatory Treatment Center. I went up there after seeing how crowded the ER was and the admitting nurse there told me about it. When I got there, they told me I needed an appointment, and gave me one that was 45 minutes later, but I got in after maybe 20 minutes.

Ouch. Damn.
Merc.
Stacy took a blow to the head when she got head butted by Yuki. Mild concussion, but she's still dealing with it. Occasionally she gets jostled in a way that triggers her headache and disorientation (that's simplifying it but you get the idea). We've talked to other concussion patients and some related similar symptoms. Beware.

Yup, every time
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
